Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to take on the role of Team Leader. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and enhance our skilled staff, facilitating community inclusion for people living with disabilities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing, motivating and growing our Community Participation team through various group activities. They will ensure that all activities and programs are accessible and outcome-focused, and will initiate and grow new social groups, creating community partnerships and opportunities.

In this role, you will operate from day centre program locations and support teams as required, managing and providing performance feedback to frontline staff. You will also implement person-centred and active support modules for clients.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Experience in managing and motivating a team.
  • Experience in designing, delivering and evaluating programs.
  • Strong commitment to the inclusion of people living with disabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Experience in Incident Management and Client Safeguards.

You will need:

  • Tertiary qualification in Disability, Community Services, or a related field; or a minimum of Certificate IV in Disability with substantial experience in the field; or substantial experience in the field and willing to undertake studies within 12 months of commencing employment.
  • Current First Aid, CPR Certificate and Medication endorsement or willingness to obtain.
  • Working with Vulnerable People with NDIS Endorsement or willingness to obtain;
  • Full and Current Australian Drivers License with Comprehensive Insurance.
