ABOUT THE ROLE
The Northern Tasmania Program Coordinator is primarily responsible for the delivery of participation programs.
Using a targeting approach this role will gain maximum participation within NAB AFL Auskick and school programs and support the transition of participants into community club environments, while promoting inclusive, respectful and safe environments.
This role is primarily based in the field in schools and local Auskick centres and clubs.
DAY IN THE LIFE – what you will be responsible for
Coordinate the delivery of the NAB AFL Auskick and Superkick programs with a focus on quality and growth.
Coordinate the recruitment of Auskick and Superkick Coordinators.
Implementing regional action plans, ensuring targeted delivery of programs for maximum participation impact
Liaise with teachers, schools and other program stakeholders to increase the number of School Teacher Members
Support ongoing training and education for casual staff to deliver the AFL Programs
Support booking and delivering school programs with the aim to increase participation across our key segments; AFL Auskick, Superkick Community Football, Nines and School Football.
Support School Football pathways to increase the number of participants registering for School Football
Deliver programs to support transition and retention of Community Footballers.
Program target markets include but not limited to, transitioning Auskickers, female
participants, multicultural and disability groups.
Ability to grow our game in new and emerging markets
Contribute to key projects within and outside of core role
Support and contribute to the success of the broader team
Assisting with AFL match day requirements at UTAS Stadium
OUR IDEAL TEAM MEMBER WILL HAVE
Experience working with children and young people, Please note, the successful candidate is required to hold a Valid Working with Children Check and will be subject to a satisfactory criminal history record check.
Demonstrated personal initiative and ability to work effectively unsupervised
Excellent communication (both written and verbal), interpersonal, presentation and negotiation skills
Qualifications in Sports Coaching / Management, Recreation, Education or equivalent depth of experience
Due to the nature of the sporting industry must be willing to work outside normal business hours from time to time such as evenings and weekends
A love for the game of AFL
Tasmanian Driver's License
Understanding Microsoft Office suite of products
Child Safety Standards
