Job Overview:
We are partnering with a dynamic civil and landscaping contractor to deliver projects throughout Victoria. Our partner provides diversified solutions to multiple construction sectors and local governments.
The Role:
As a HSE Advisor, you will work under the Construction Manager to implement and develop Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) procedures for landscape & civil projects.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing, implementing, and maintaining project HSE documentation
- Oversee, coordinate, and deliver toolbox talks on health and safety protocols
- Conduct OHS inductions when necessary to ensure compliance
- Identify safety risks and environmental impacts associated with projects
- Coordinate/participate in workplace inspections to promote a safe working environment
- Collaborate with the HSE team on company-wide initiatives to improve health and safety practices
- Assist in reviewing, maintaining, and updating our third-party accredited Integrated Management System (IMS)
- Promote health and safety awareness across sites and business operations
Requirements:
- Certificate IV or tertiary qualification in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) or equivalent
- Previous experience working in civil construction industry or similar environments
- Full driver's license and flexibility/willingness to travel and live away from home (for short periods if required)
- Construction industry induction card (white card)
