About the Role:

This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a dedicated team providing individualized support and guidance to young individuals facing barriers to employment or education. We are seeking a skilled professional who can leverage their expertise in career development, vocational rehabilitation, and youth work to empower our clients.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a caseload of young people, co-designing career profiles and employment plans, and delivering culturally safe and youth-friendly services. They will also be expected to establish strong connections with local employers, education providers, and community services to promote sustainable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a caseload of young people referred through headspace Mackay
  • Co-design career profiles and employment plans with each participant
  • Deliver individualized support and guidance to help young people achieve their goals
  • Establish partnerships with local employers and education providers to promote job opportunities and training programs
  • Maintain strong connections with community services and other relevant stakeholders
Requirements:
  • Qualifications and/or experience in employment services, vocational rehabilitation, youth work, career development, or a related field
  • Passion for working with young people and understanding the challenges they face
  • Knowledge of issues affecting people with mental health in accessing work and study
  • Excellent engagement skills and ability to build relationships with young people, employers, and community stakeholders
