Job Title: Business Development Manager

DP World is seeking a motivated and results-driven professional to join our Contract Logistics team. This key role involves identifying business opportunities aligned with corporate goals, managing sales pipelines, and preparing proposals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver targeted sales activities to drive profitable deal closures.
  • Maintain accurate records and manage customer interactions to ensure excellent customer solutions and satisfaction.
  • Generate, nurture, and manage a robust sales pipeline with short, medium, and long-term opportunities aligned to business strategy.
  • Track and analyse KPIs, forecasts, and budgets to optimise revenue streams and support strategic sales planning.
  • Work cross-functionally to deliver optimal outcomes, inspire teams through conscientious leadership, and support positive conflict resolution.
  • Take full responsibility for actions, communicate openly, make sound consensus-based decisions, and prioritise customer needs with agility and responsiveness.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years' experience in Sales, Marketing, or Business Development, with proven success in business development and senior-level customer management.
  • Degree qualified, with additional business management training considered an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of Supply Chain and Logistics Operating Models, including pricing and rate cards, with 5+ years focused on Contract Logistics sales development.
  • Demonstrated ability in customer lead generation, high-retention relationship building, and expanding into new verticals such as freight forwarding.
  • Highly organised, capable of managing priorities effectively, performing well under pressure, and skilled in consultative sales and strategic relationship management.
  • Committed to quality control policies, accurate record-keeping, and identifying/reporting non-conformance in line with company procedures.
