Key Responsibilities- Training Program Development: Design and implement educational programs and training initiatives for staff, caregivers, and other stakeholders involved in dementia care.
- Training Delivery: Deliver training sessions and workshops to equip the team with the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to deliver exceptional, relationship-based care.
- Capacity Building: Focus on capability and capacity building to enhance the quality of care provided to individuals with dementia.
- Evaluation and Feedback: Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and provide feedback to improve future initiatives.
- Collaboration and Support: Work collaboratively with the team to foster a supportive and enabling environment.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records and reports of training programs and activities.
- Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with the latest research, best practices, and industry developments in dementia care.
- Commitment to HammondCare's Mission: Align with our Christian Mission, Motivation, and Mission in Action.
- Experience: A minimum of two years demonstrated experience in the delivery of programs in a face-to-face setting and online.
- Training and Education: Proven experience in training and education, ideally within a healthcare or residential care setting.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Learning Agility: Strong learning agility and ability to adapt to new situations.
- Teamwork: Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Technology: Proficiency with training technologies and software.
- Driver's License: Current Australian driver's license with a safe driving record and willingness to travel intra and interstate.
- Dementia Care Principles: Understanding of dementia care principles, person-centered care, and relationship-based approaches.
- Certification or Specialized Training: Certification or specialized training in dementia care or gerontology.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, health, allied health, or education.
