Family Violence Response Specialist

The Magistrates' Court of Victoria is a jurisdiction within the Court Services Victoria statutory authority. We have a long history of providing justice for the people of Victoria in metropolitan and regional courts across the state.
About The RoleAs a Family Violence Response Specialist, you will utilise your skills and knowledge to ensure the safety and wellbeing of victim survivors through intervention with users of family violence.
- Conduct eligibility assessments and provide recommendations for behaviour change programs as part of the Courts Mandated Counselling Order Program (CMCOP).
- Establish and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including Court Registrars and community-based organisations.
- Make effective referrals to support services to ensure the safety of victim survivors and children.
You will hold a relevant tertiary qualification in a related therapeutic discipline, such as social work, psychology or social sciences. You will also bring sound skills in the provision of support, crisis containment and risk assessment.
Working in this role, you will be required to apply your knowledge and skills to achieve positive outcomes for victim survivors. You will need to demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with other professionals.
