High-Performance Sport Specialist

Support Australian Sailing athletes to achieve world-class performance as a Performance Scientist. Develop and implement evidence-based systems within the daily performance environment to optimize athlete preparation for major competitions.
Main Responsibilities:- Deliver sport science support services to Australian Sailing athletes, including physiological testing, biomechanical analysis, and performance monitoring.
- Collaborate with the Physical Preparation Lead to develop and implement DPE systems that enhance athlete performance.
- Work closely with high-performance coaches and athletes to provide tailored support and guidance.
- Analyse data and interpret results to inform training programs and optimize athlete performance.
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- 3+ years' experience in sports science, with a strong focus on high-performance environments.
- A proven track record of utilising physiological and sport science knowledge to plan, periodise, and manage athlete performance.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment and communicate complex information effectively.
- Experience working with quality control and quality assurance programs to ensure laboratory compliance standards are met.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and produce reports for influencing training programs.
