Job Summary
The NSW Institute of Sport seeks a high-performance sports scientist to provide sport science support across physiology, biomechanics, and performance analysis. The successful candidate will develop and implement physiological performance factors to maximise athlete training and performance.
About the Role
- Provide expert sport science services to athletes at senior national or international level.
- Design, prescribe, and monitor physiological performance factors to achieve performance progression.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sport science strategies to enhance athletic performance.
- Collaborate with coaches and other support staff to create high-performance environments.
Requirements
- 3+ years' experience in providing and applying sport science services.
- Proven success in utilising physiological knowledge for planning, periodising, and managing athletes at senior national or international level.
- Experience in planning and monitoring athletic performance to achieve performance progression.
Essential Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree with Honours in Exercise Science, Health Science, Movement Science, or Sport Science.
- ESSA Sport Scientist Level 1 certification.
