Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Youth Services Team Lead with strong leadership skills to join our team. This role involves providing direct support and case management for young people, as well as overseeing and guiding a team of residential care workers. The ideal candidate will be adept at leading a team, coordinating with various stakeholders, and ensuring that our young people receive the highest level of care and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of residential care workers: Provide guidance, support, and supervision to ensure the delivery of high-quality care and services.
  • Develop individualised plans: Work with young people, families, and other stakeholders to develop and implement tailored plans that address specific needs and goals.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders: Build relationships with government agencies, community partners, and other departments to ensure a cohesive approach to youth support.
  • Maintain compliance: Undertake necessary reporting and administrative tasks to ensure compliance with organisational policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide direct care support: Complete shifts as needed to ensure continuity of care and support for young people.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Certificate IV, Diploma or Bachelor: In Child, Youth & Family Intervention or a related field such as Social Work, Psychology, Education etc.
  • Proven experience: In youth services management, including program oversight and staff supervision.
  • Understanding of Child Protection principles: Experience working with government and non-government agencies.
  • Strong leadership skills: Ability to inspire and motivate a team, manage conflicts, and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills: Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
