Healius is seeking an experienced Scientist to join its Microbiology department. The successful candidate will have over 100 medical laboratories and 2000 patient collection centres operating across metropolitan, regional and remote Australia.

About the Role
  • Perform routine microbiological procedures from specimen reception to execution of results for pathological diagnosis.
  • Record results in line with protocols and maintain current scientific knowledge.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities and contribute to continuous improvement and new assay development.
  • Liaise with stakeholders regarding test results or referrals as necessary.
About You
  • Demonstrated expertise and skills within Microbiology, including sound knowledge of QC, QAP and troubleshooting.
  • Able to identify, develop and implement quality and service improvement activities.
  • Highly motivated with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Applied Science (Medical Laboratory Science) or equivalent required.
