School Support Officer: Health and Safety

As part of a collaborative team, you will provide first aid support to parents, students, and school staff while also assisting the work health and safety team at the school.
The role involves managing the college sick bay, ensuring all student medical records and processes are accurate and in accordance with BCE guidelines.
You will review risk assessments, perform safety inspections, investigate injuries to recommend improvements.
Previous first aid/nursing experience, especially working with students in a school environment, would be highly regarded.
Work health and safety qualifications and a working knowledge in this area would be highly regarded or at least a keen interest to be trained in this area.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Ability to work independently and make firm and compassionate decisions.
- Ability to respond quickly in a fast-paced environment and be able to triage effectively.
- A calm disposition with a passion for helping others.
- Must hold current First Aid Certificate and Blue Card.
- A high level of communication and interpersonal skills is essential.
- Strong administrative skills would be advantageous with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
