We are seeking a dedicated and skilled School Library Support Officer to join our team.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting teachers and students in the school library, ensuring that resources are readily available and easily accessible. This includes assisting with cataloging and shelving books, as well as maintaining the overall tidiness of the library space.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers and students in the use of library facilities and resources
  • Maintain accurate records of library transactions and inventory
  • Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety regulations
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you will need to have:

  • A Diploma of Library and Information Services or equivalent qualification
  • Recent experience working in a school library environment
  • Knowledge of OLIVER cataloguing system
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A flexible approach to completing tasks with frequent interruptions
