Insurance Specialist

The Victorian Government seeks a motivated Insurance Specialist to support the efficient delivery of VMIA products.
About the RoleThis ongoing opportunity will facilitate the management of complex insurance needs for clients across infrastructure and energy sectors.
Key Responsibilities- Develop in-depth knowledge of construction and general insurance, including policy advice, underwriting, and reinsurance activities.
- Support clients and internal teams with insurance questionnaires, validation processes, and premium setting.
- Contribute to the administration of the full policy lifecycle, working closely with stakeholders across finance, claims, and reinsurers.
- Monitor and manage general insurance queries by reviewing, referring, and responding to queries from internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated understanding of construction and/or general insurance products.
- Reinsurance experience or background in construction insurance, infrastructure, or energy is highly desirable.
- Possess a professional approach with strong time management skills, commercial acumen, and analytical abilities.
- An enthusiastic team player with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
