Insurance Operations Specialist Role Overview

The Insurance Operations Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring the seamless delivery of insurance services to customers. This position is responsible for investigating and resolving complex insurance enquiries, managing the insurance operations inbox, and implementing process improvements.

The successful candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. The Insurance Operations Specialist will be responsible for reviewing and updating insurance business rules, identifying opportunities for improvement, and supporting the implementation of product and pricing changes.

As part of the Insurance Operations team, the specialist will contribute to the development and maintenance of policies, procedures, and guidelines that ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Investigate and resolve complex insurance enquiries
  • Manage the insurance operations inbox
  • Review and update insurance business rules
  • Identify and implement process improvements
  • Support the implementation of product and pricing changes
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • At least five years' experience in an insurance role
  • Superannuation or Insurance administration is desirable
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Well-developed sense of initiative
  • Able to work diligently, efficiently, and with accuracy paying close attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage tasks
  • Excellent interpersonal skills which foster cooperation and teamwork
