About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Site Operations Specialist to oversee and support all human resource functions on our project site. The successful candidate will ensure HR activities align with project objectives, Australian labor laws, and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance to employees on HR-related matters and foster a positive work environment.
  • Lead industrial risk mitigation and coordinate emergency responses to workplace incidents.
  • Ensure compliance with Australian labor laws and internal policies.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local regulations affecting employment, health and safety, and industrial relations.
  • Provide HR/IR advice to ensure compliance with industrial legislation, awards, and enterprise agreements.
  • Coordinate site-specific inductions and facilitate relevant programs for employee development.
  • Support and manage work-related injuries and incidents, ensuring proper documentation is completed.
  • Oversee counseling, discipline, probation, return-to-work programs.
  • Maintain accurate HR records, including training and incident documentation.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resource Management, Employment Relations, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
  • Certifications in Workplace Health and Safety preferred.
  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience in HR roles, ideally within the construction or infrastructure sectors.
