The Opportunity

Monash University is seeking a highly skilled Research Fellow to contribute to innovative cancer research, focusing on patient-reported outcomes (PROs). This role involves applying advanced quantitative research methods, such as data analysis and psychometric evaluation, to improve the understanding of how cancer treatments impact patients' quality of life.

As a Research Fellow, you will work within a global research network, overseeing data collection, analysis, interpretation, and the publication of findings that will inform future cancer care. Your responsibilities will include supporting the preparation of systematic literature reviews, ethics submissions, and developing interview guides for PRO studies in collaboration with international partners.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Applying advanced quantitative research methods to improve the understanding of cancer treatments' impact on patients' quality of life
  • Overseeing data collection, analysis, interpretation, and publication of findings
  • Supporting the preparation of systematic literature reviews and ethics submissions
  • Developing interview guides for PRO studies in collaboration with international partners

We are seeking someone with a strong foundation in quantitative research, particularly in psychometric evaluation and PRO data analysis. A doctoral qualification in a relevant field and proficiency in analytical software such as R or Mplus are essential. The Research Fellow will also contribute to research proposal submissions and publication efforts, making this an ideal role for someone with a commitment to advancing cancer research.
