About the Project
The Health4Her project aims to address the low awareness of the link between alcohol and breast cancer among women participating in population-based breast screening programs.
This PhD scholarship will support the implementation-effectiveness trials and provide an opportunity to gather data and explore various issues related to women's health and alcohol consumption.
The project may involve qualitative and quantitative research methods, implementation research frameworks, and consumer and stakeholder participation approaches.
Research Environment
Successful candidates will be part of a multidisciplinary cohort of researchers and students at Turning Point, a leading national addiction treatment, training, and research centre in Melbourne, Australia.
Monash University is a world-renowned institution, ranked among the top 80 universities globally, and is affiliated with Eastern Health Clinical School and the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing, and Health Sciences.
Supervision
The principal supervisor will be Dr. Jasmin Grigg, a Research Fellow in Addiction Studies at Monash University and Turning Point.
Dr. Grigg's research focuses on developing novel public health interventions to reduce alcohol consumption and related harms, and raising population awareness about low-risk drinking levels.
