Job Description

This is a challenging mid-senior level position as a registered midwife. The role requires experience in providing treatment to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in remote Northern Territory communities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver culturally safe, high-quality care in collaboration with Aboriginal Health Practitioners, General Practitioners, nurses, and support staff.
  • Work on-site in remote clinics, providing treatment and care to patients.
Requirements:
  • Evidence of unrestricted registration as a registered nurse and registered midwife with the relevant authority.
  • Minimum of 3 years of postgraduate experience in midwifery.
  • Minimum of 2 years postgraduate experience as a registered nurse.
  • Minimum of 250 hours of relevant clinical experience within the past 12 months.
  • CPR/BLS certification.
  • Recognised Immunisation certificate.
  • Northern Territory Working with Children's Card (or willingness to obtain).
