About The Position
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Service Representative to join our Metal – East Sales Team. This position will be based at our Queensland site, reporting directly to the Branch Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for sales and technical service for all allocated customers and potential customers in the Queensland and Northern Territory Metalliferous Mining region.
Key Responsibilities
The Technical Service Representative will:
- Maintain strong relationships with nominated customers within the Metals East territory;
- Provide expert advice on product use through regular audits and quality control checks;
- Assist with new product trials and identify opportunities for product development;
- Develop and maintain customer service relationships;
- Conduct stock assessments and provide input on order levels to ensure customers have adequate stock levels;
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate customer forecasting;
- Ensure that company products meet customer expectations;
- Conduct regular customer satisfaction surveys;
- Provide pricing recommendations for customers in the region, in conjunction with Account Managers;
- Represent DSI Underground Group products to customers;
- Monitor and report customer demand fluctuations on a monthly basis;
- Work collaboratively as part of a cohesive team to maintain strong interpersonal relationships.
About You
You will bring previous experience in a Technical Service field or Mining Industry, with a professional and approachable personality, and a drive for customer satisfaction. In addition, you will possess the following attributes:
- Previous experience in underground mining or tunnelling;
- Ability to build and maintain customer relationships;
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Office programs;
- Ability to work independently and solve technical issues;
- Ability to lift heavy equipment up to 10kg;
- Excellent time management and communication skills;
- Flexibility to undertake regular domestic travel throughout the Metals East business region.
