Sustainability and Operational Excellence Manager

This role is responsible for leading the implementation and management of comprehensive work health and safety processes across all sites.

The successful candidate will report to the management team and be accountable for ensuring compliance with safety regulations and promoting a culture of sustainability and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategies to identify continuous improvement opportunities and optimize operational performance;
  • Create and maintain control systems to ensure work health and safety, environmental sustainability, and operational efficiency are measured, achieved, and improved over time;
  • Manage operations activities in preparation for compliance audits and support internal audit plan implementation;
  • Demonstrate active and visible leadership through effective consultation and communication to achieve work health and safety objectives and targets;
  • Provide governance to achieve objectives for monitoring and reporting processes;
  • Ensure timely reporting of injuries, incidents, near misses, and hazards, and conduct appropriate investigations and conclusions;
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and best practices in work health and safety, environmental sustainability, and quality management.
Requirements:
  • Strong commercial acumen and understanding of costs and optimization strategies;
  • Proven leadership skills in environmental health and safety standard setting;
  • Ability to communicate effectively and lead by example;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
