Senior Director of Student Accommodation Management

About the Role:

The Senior Director of Student Accommodation Management will lead a high-performing team to ensure the provision of safe and supportive student accommodation across UNSW-owned and operated spaces. Key responsibilities include strategic management, operational oversight, workforce and resource planning, budget development, risk management, and compliance with relevant legislation and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a compliant operating model and provide expert advice on UNSW's complex legislative, regulatory, and policy obligations.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies for managing resources and priorities, exercising influence and tact with senior internal and external stakeholders.
  • Implement data-driven approaches to assess the effectiveness of initiatives and accurate reporting, making informed decisions for continuous improvement and compliance.
  • Work closely with senior staff to set accommodation rates and develop annual operating budgets.
  • Oversight of integrated risk management framework across Student Accommodation, including preparatory and training modules for staff and students.
About You:

You will hold a relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent relevant experience with substantial knowledge and expertise at a senior level in the management of large-scale education, resident or student operations. Required skills and qualifications include extensive experience working effectively to balance legal and regulatory obligations with strategic objectives and initiatives, proven leadership in business management, strategy, planning, and project management, and significant leadership and team management skills.
