Strategic Asset Leader

The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of leading the strategic oversight and operational delivery of asset management portfolios, driving long-term value, reliability, and safety.

This role requires a forward-thinking leader who can develop and implement effective strategies to meet business objectives and ensure compliance with regulatory obligations.

  • Asset Management Strategy: Develop and execute long-term corridor and rolling stock asset strategies that align with organisational service objectives and state-wide transport vision.
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure assets are proactively managed to meet performance, customer, and safety expectations, including crisis management and business continuity planning.
  • Fleet Performance: Oversee the delivery of annual maintenance plans and drive continuous improvement of fleet availability and reliability for optimal operational performance.
  • Engineering Standards: Ensure adherence to engineering standards that meet safety and regulatory requirements while exploring new technologies and contemporary methodologies.
  • Infrastructure Development: Develop and implement asset improvements to minimise service disruptions, enhance passenger experience, and support regional amenity standards.
