Job Title: Hotel Asset Strategist

This is a specialist role suiting an adaptable individual with diverse hotel management experience across operational, financial, investment and development aspects.

About the Role:
  • Developing and overseeing the achievement of strategic asset management and business plans tailored to each client hotel.
  • Scrutinising financial statements, analysing value drivers against budgets, forecasts, industry and competitor benchmarks.
  • Conducting meetings with hotel owners and managers to assess trading performance, compliance and pinpointing areas for improved owner returns, activation or revenue generation.
  • Delivering timely and insightful reports to clients, offering well-crafted commentary and analysis on key performance indicators, along with strategic advice to support sales and marketing efforts.
  • Proactively identifying and managing risk and compliance, assisting in the design and implementation of mitigation strategies.
  • Maintaining a close working relationship with hotel General Manager's, department heads and hotel staff, ensuring operational excellence and best practice across all property departments.
  • Fostering active communication with industry stakeholders (including valuers, legal, accountants, financiers, project managers, building contractors, accommodation managers/operators, architects and interior designers) on behalf of clients.
  • Representing at relevant industry forums locally, regionally and nationally.

  • Vast hotel operational management expertise within branded and third-party settings.
  • An engaging leadership style to collaborate and bring the best out of hotel departmental heads and varied stakeholders.
  • Highly numerate and proficient with advanced skills in MS Excel.
  • Ability to juggle competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills.
  • Ability to deliver well-honed business reports and written client presentations.
  • Ability to identify and successfully manage the delivery of contractual obligations.
  • Passion for using technology and digital tools to improve the way businesses communicate.
