Chief Financial Strategist

About the Role:

You will play a pivotal leadership role in driving our Accounting and Business Advisory division forward.

  • Lead and scale the Virtual CFO division, ensuring consistent delivery of real-time, high-value financial reporting and management advice to drive business growth.
  • Develop and implement strategies to expand client portfolios and revenue across regions through effective collaboration with internal teams.
  • Mentor and develop a high-performing team that excels in delivering accurate and timely financial analysis, management reports, and forecasts to support informed decision-making.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor to deliver tailored solutions that meet their evolving needs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to drive innovation, process improvement, and integrated service delivery that aligns with our firm's broader strategy and goals.
  • Ensure compliance and manage risk across all VCFO services and engagements to maintain the highest standards of quality and integrity.
About You:
  • 5+ years in Australian public practice or 10+ years as a management accountant with a proven track record of success.
  • Deep experience in financial management, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, with a strong understanding of cloud-based accounting platforms like Xero.
  • Proven leadership experience and the ability to grow and mentor high-performing teams that deliver exceptional results.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients and colleagues alike.
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to align financial services with business growth goals, with a proactive mindset ready to drive change and improve processes.
