About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic culinary professional to join our kitchen team as a Senior Culinary Assistant.

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about food preparation, presentation, and delivering exceptional quality cuisine. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting the chef in charge to ensure seamless kitchen operations.

Your primary duties will include:

  • Preparing mise en place for all relevant menus with precision and attention to detail.
  • Ensuring consistent great food production, adhering to our high-quality standards.
  • Maintaining strict stock rotation and minimizing wastage while assisting with ordering necessary food items.
  • Complying with all health and safety regulations, including safe and accurate knife skills.
  • Providing excellent customer service and ensuring guest feedback is addressed and communicated to the team.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • At least 1 year of experience as a Demi Chef in a hotel or restaurant with high food quality standards.
  • The ability to operate various kitchen equipment and practice sound cooking techniques.
  • Completion of a Chef Apprenticeship or a Certificate in Commercial Cookery.
  • Good knowledge of food hygiene and safety principles, including safe handling and storage practices.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
