Key Role:

A Graduate Geotechnical Engineer is responsible for undertaking fieldwork activities and fieldwork supervision, assisting with geotechnical analyses, ensuring adequate sampling and laboratory work, participating in the delivery of projects, and effectively communicating design outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for geotechnical engineering and be highly driven and motivated.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake fieldwork activities and fieldwork supervision
  • Travel and work in the field and remote locations
  • Assist with geotechnical analyses for foundations, retaining walls, slope stability, pavement designs, and earthworks supervision
  • Ensure adequate sampling and laboratory work is carried out to establish design soil and rock conditions
  • Participate in the delivery of projects and ensure work outputs are of a high technical standard
  • Effectively communicate design outcomes with clients
  • Assist in providing critical analysis of data to develop practical and commercial solutions
Required Qualifications:
  • Tertiary qualification in Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology, Civil Engineering, or equivalent from a recognised institution
  • Previous experience in the geotechnical industry is an advantage
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient skills and understanding of computer systems for monitoring and reporting data
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
