Nurse Leader in Palliative Care

This senior clinical nursing position is responsible for leading consultancy in supportive and palliative care at Auburn Hospital, driving quality improvement and evidence-based care initiatives.
Job Description- Provide advanced clinical expertise, leadership, and consultancy services within the Supportive & Palliative Care team at Auburn Hospital.
- Enhance patient care, support clinicians, and lead continuous improvement projects within a dynamic acute care environment.
- Current Registration as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Minimum five (5) years full-time equivalent post-registration experience, with at least three (3) years' experience in a specialty field in either Palliative Care, Cancer Care, Advanced or Aged Care Nursing.
- Postgraduate nursing/midwifery qualifications relevant to the field in which you are appointed or such other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate by the public hospital or public health organisation.
- Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written).
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and develop/maintain professional relationships and networks across multiple disciplines.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to utilise information technology skills.
- Ability to assess, plan, initiate, and manage complex cases, work to goals and targets.
- Deliver expert clinical advice and consultancy in palliative and supportive care.
- Lead and participate in quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives.
- Provide education, mentorship, and clinical support to multidisciplinary teams.
- Initiate and participate in clinical research, service planning, and strategic initiatives.
- Drive practice improvement and lead clinical reviews across acute care services.
