Melba Support Services is a well-established, values-based, not-for-profit organisation providing disability support services for close to 50 years.

We are seeking a female Disability Support Worker to join our team in the Independent Supported Accommodation (ISA) program.

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing support plans based on the supported person's needs, preferences, and interests.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with all aspects of daily living from getting up in the morning to going to bed at night
  • Aiding people to get to their chosen activities like social events, work, and appointments
  • Promoting personal choice and control for the person
  • Assisting with personal care & hygiene and household duties like cleaning, cooking, and washing
  • Administering medication

Requirements include:

  • Experience with complex behaviours
  • A passion for enabling and working with people
  • Desire for meaningful work and comfortable providing people with daily living support
  • Willingness to learn new skills, undertake ongoing training
  • Willingness to work as part of a team
