About the Role

Melba Support Services is a well-established, values-based not-for-profit organization providing disability support services for close to 50 years. Our services include:

We are seeking female disability support workers to join our team in the Independent Supported Accommodation (ISA) program.

Key Responsibilities

As a Disability Support Worker, you will be responsible for:

  • Implementing support plans based on the individual's needs, preferences, and interests
  • Assisting with daily living activities, such as personal care and hygiene, and household duties
  • Aiding individuals to participate in activities, such as social events, work, and appointments
  • Promoting personal choice and control for the individual
  • Administering medication
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working with individuals with complex behaviors
  • A passion for enabling and supporting people with disabilities
  • Desire for meaningful work and ability to provide daily living support
  • Willingness to learn new skills and undertake ongoing training
  • Ability to work as part of a team
