About the Role

The YMCA Brisbane is seeking a highly skilled Payroll Officer to join our team. As a key member of our payroll team, you will be responsible for the efficient and timely processing of our fortnightly payroll for the YMCA of Brisbane and Y-Care (Southeast Queensland) Inc.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process payroll for both associations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing, including reporting and coordination
  • Conduct annual payroll audits to ensure data accuracy and correctness
  • Calculate and process termination payments, salary increases, and bonuses
  • Enter payroll data from salary packaging providers and manage company benefits
  • Run end-of-FBT and end-of-financial-year processes
Requirements
  • Experience in a payroll function, preferably as a payroll officer
  • Competence in payroll packages, software, and time and attendance systems
  • Demonstrated knowledge of relevant Industrial Acts, Superannuation Guarantee Legislation, Awards, and Agreements
  • Highly effective time management skills and ability to multitask
  • Experience with HR systems or databases
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution
  • Capacity to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
