About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the City of Hobart as a Stormwater Assets Technical Officer. As a key member of the Waterways team, you will play a crucial role in managing the city's stormwater assets, capital works, and maintenance programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the delivery of capital works projects relating to stormwater and waterway infrastructure.
  • Contribute to maintenance planning and management, particularly for water sensitive urban design and water quality improvement assets.
  • Support the Program Leader Stormwater Assets to maintain the City of Hobart Stormwater assets, including the pit and pipe network, overland flow paths, and Rivulets.
  • Conduct the City's stormwater asset condition assessment program, including coordinating contractors for the CCTV inspection program.
  • Help develop systems and processes for condition assessments of non-pipe assets and undertaking or coordinating inspections of stormwater quality improvement assets.
Requirements
  • Experience in the civil or plumbing fields, local government project experience, or a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil or Environmental) or an equivalent degree.
  • A can-do attitude and a desire to work in a friendly team environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
