About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced electrical or mechanical practitioner to join our team as a Senior Technical Officer - Electrical Plant Program. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for testing and commissioning our industrial power stations after major refurbishment outages to ensure their sustainability and reliability into the future.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the refurbishment and maintenance of power station equipment.
  • Work with high-performing experts in the industry to ensure the successful implementation of activities in support of our electrical plant program of work.
  • Travel around Tasmania to see our diverse range of assets and provide technical support as required.

Requirements:

  • Experience with hydropower assets and automation, testing, and commissioning of heavy industrial rotating machinery.
  • Deep technical knowledge and a collaborative approach to work.
  • Ability to prepare high-quality written documentation to support commissioning activities.
  • Ability to travel and stay away from home for extended periods.
