About the Role
This position plays a vital role in the City's success by overseeing the assessment of statutory permit applications and handling customer inquiries related to the Urban Drainage Act 2013.
The successful candidate will lead a cohesive team of engineers and technical officers, ensuring timely reviews and responses to applications. Close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders ensures a comprehensive and efficient assessment process.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the assessment of statutory permit applications.
- Manage responses to customer enquiries regarding stormwater.
- Manage the financial allocation associated with the Waterways Services Program.
- Provide professional advice and guidance regarding planning and development of stormwater assets.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- A degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or related field).
- Experience in assessing planning, building and plumbing applications.
- Familiarity with catchment management plans.
- Ability to interpret hydraulic, hydrological and water quality assessments.
- Knowledge of statutory permit applications, particularly in planning, building and plumbing.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret hydraulic modelling and mapping.
- Leadership and team management skills.
