About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Risk Manager to join our team in Canberra, Melbourne or other selected locations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and mitigating cyber risks across our government clients' technology components and systems. This involves conducting thorough risk assessments, developing security artefacts, and communicating with stakeholders to ensure effective risk management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducting regular security risk assessments and identifying potential threats and vulnerabilities
  • Developing and implementing security plans to mitigate identified risks
  • Collaborating with internal teams and external partners to ensure effective risk management and compliance with relevant policies and standards
  • Providing expert advice on cyber security best practices and emerging trends
  • Managing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies and industry partners

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in risk and information security frameworks, policies, and standards, including the Federal Government Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF) and Information Security Manual (ISM)
  • Demonstrated working experience in security threat and risk assessment and development of security authorisation artefacts
  • Demonstrated security experience within complex ICT environments
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, and the ability to communicate security concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Understanding of global Cyber Security trends, attack vectors, and techniques
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience
