About the Opportunity

The Department of Government Services is seeking a highly experienced Lead Cyber Security Specialist to support the Victorian Government Chief Information Security Officer and Executive Director, Data and Digital Resilience.

This role involves leading the development and implementation of cyber risk and assurance projects under the Victorian Government Cyber Strategy, focusing on the Victorian Government Cyber Maturity Benchmark and the Essential 8 Maturity Model.

You will work closely with government stakeholders, including operational, policy, and risk management experts, to deliver effective cyber risk management programs.

To succeed in this role, you must possess excellent communication and leadership skills, as well as a strong understanding of cyber risk and assurance models, frameworks, and practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading the development, implementation, and management of cyber risk and assurance projects.
  • Providing strategic advice on cyber assurance programs.
  • Maintaining collaborative relationships with government stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in cyber security and risk management.
  • Strong knowledge of cyber and information security frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Compensation Package:

We offer a competitive salary of $120,000 - $160,000 per annum, reflecting the seniority and expertise required for this role.
