Cyber Security Consultant Role at Grant Thornton Australia

This position plays a pivotal role within our Digital team, supporting the company's growth ambitions and safeguarding its digital assets.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Monitor and respond to cyber security tickets and alerts, providing remediation guidance and regular reports to the Head of Cyber Security.
  • Lead vulnerability assessments, analyse and prioritise vulnerabilities, develop remediation plans, and update the vulnerability management program.
  • Implement and manage advanced threat protection solutions, respond to security alerts and incidents, conduct threat intelligence analysis, and maintain incident response plans.
  • Support internal information security compliance activities including audits, evidence gathering, and assessment periods.
  • Perform regular penetration testing, document findings, provide recommendations, and collaborate with teams to remediate vulnerabilities.
  • Assist the Cloud Security Specialist in conducting technical security assessments of cloud environments and infrastructure and implement security controls and best practices for cloud and on-premises infrastructure.

**Essential Skills & Experience:**

  • A comprehensive understanding of firewalls, proxies, and network topology management.
  • Experience with security tools such as SIEM|XDR, DLP, SSE, CASB, EDR, and Vulnerability Management.
  • Familiarity with Frameworks, such as ISO 27001, NIST, MITRE, OWASP, Essential 8 & DevSecOps practices and tools.
  • A foundational understanding of programming and scripting languages, including Python, PowerShell for automation.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

**Compensation:** $120,000 - $180,000 per year
