Job Description

This job advertisement aims to fill current vacancies and establish a merit list for future ongoing or non-ongoing positions anticipated within the next 12 months.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Exhibit exceptional leadership skills to manage diverse and multidisciplinary teams, ensuring operational support is delivered and strategic objectives are aligned.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of criminal investigation practices, intelligence processes, and technical capabilities within the AFP's centres and collections.
  • Contribute to the development and future direction of the ESAT capability by identifying projects, driving innovation, and enhancing customer service.
  • Mentor and develop team members to achieve mastery, teamwork, and purpose in their roles;
  • Coordinate and provide operational support to all AFP commands in line with operational and organisational priorities. Offer problem-focused solutions to address specific investigative requirements.
  • Lead consultation and liaison with relevant industry agencies to ensure the ESAT capability remains contemporary with industry standards.
  • Through engagement, recommend and inform investigative collection priorities. Maintain knowledge of collection limitations and benefits.
  • Be accountable for resource management, forecasting, performance management, and team administration.
  • Ensure quality assurance of ESAT services and products, guaranteeing their relevance and currency with the AFP, and supporting CTO reporting requirements
