About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Claims Assessment Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for making informed decisions on claims and transitioning them to appropriate Case Managers for ongoing management.

The role requires strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to calculate PIAWE, advise Dispute Resolutions Managers, and identify recovery potential of claims.

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

Required Expertise:

  • 2 years or more experience in initial claims assessment Case Manager or 1 year or more in a paralegal or legal assistant position

  • Strong working knowledge of Workplace Injury Rehabilitation & Compensation Act 2013 and associated Regulations or a Legal Qualification

  • WorkCover scheme

  • Teamwork flexibility and ability to adapt to change

  • Concern for others

  • Ability to follow rules and regulations

  • Computer skills Microsoft Office Word Excel Outlook

  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of ACCtion and Novus or similar case management system
