Programa is a fast-growing venture-backed startup building the operating system for the design industry.

Founded in 2020, our platform is purpose-built for interior designers and architects, replacing spreadsheets, PDFs, platform-switching, and scattered approvals with live tools that support every stage of a project.

We're looking for a high-impact finance leader to drive our financial strategy and operations as we scale across Australia, the U.S., and beyond.

This role goes beyond reporting and compliance. You'll partner with the CEO and Executive Team to shape how capital is deployed, how growth bets are made, and how we build financial infrastructure that supports high-velocity, high-quality decisions across the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the company's financial strategy, including being accountable for turning capital into strategic advantage
  • Partner with the CEO and exec team on capital allocation, pricing, monetisation strategy, and scenario planning
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and statutory reporting with rigour and speed
  • Design and scale planning and decision-making infrastructure that enables smarter, faster bets
  • Prepare investor and Board reporting that clearly communicates performance, risk, and opportunities
  • Drive implementation of scalable systems, automation and controls to support global growth
  • Provide embedded support across GTM, product, and company planning, shaping how we invest in growth
  • Evaluate strategic opportunities including new markets, pricing models, partnerships, and M&A
  • As we grow, build and lead a high-performing finance function that is proactive, curious, and commercially minded
  • Maintain compliance with tax, audit and regulatory requirements across jurisdictions

Experience Required

  • 10+ years of experience in finance roles, ideally within high-growth SaaS or tech companies
  • 3+ years in a senior finance leadership role (eg. Head of Finance, VP Finance)
  • Experience in capital raising, investor relations, and Board-level communication
  • Strong commercial instincts with experience influencing pricing, monetisation, and strategic investments
  • Systems-oriented thinker who can build reliable, repeatable planning infrastructure
  • Deep understanding of financial reporting, controls, and tax compliance across regions
  • Comfortable operating at both the strategic and operational level — from Boardrooms to spreadsheets
