Senior Perinatal Mental Health Specialist

A highly rewarding position is available for a Senior Mental Health Clinician to join our team in the Perinatal and Infant Mental Health Service.
This role involves providing direct patient care, including clinic appointments, home visiting, and in-reach into maternity settings. The successful candidate will support parents of infants experiencing significant mental health issues, contributing to time-limited, intensive specialist perinatal and infant mental health support.
The ideal candidate will have extensive postgraduate clinical experience in mental health, with experience working with families of infants where parents are experiencing severe and complex psychosocial and psychiatric problems in the perinatal period. They will possess excellent negotiation, decision-making, and advocacy skills, with the ability to interact constructively with a diverse range of stakeholders and provide consultation both within and external to the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide high-level clinical advice and develop educational tools or programs to support service excellence.
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team and apply advanced reasoning and independent professional judgment in novel, complex, or critical situations.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation processes; drive service development and redesign.
- Social Worker, Occupational Therapist, or Psychology qualifications with current full registration and relevant experience.
- Extensive postgraduate clinical experience in mental health, with experience working with families of infants.
- Excellent negotiation, decision-making, and advocacy skills.
