We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Water Infrastructure Engineer to join our team in Sydney.
In this role, you will lead the delivery of mechanical engineering services at the concept design phase for Sydney Water's Planning Partnership. Your primary responsibilities will include leading and managing challenging and complex water and wastewater projects throughout the planning and concept design phase.
About the Role- Provide mentoring and support for other engineers within the Sydney Water concept design team.
- Assist in building opportunities to allow growth of the mechanical engineering discipline in the water sector.
- Set and meet agreed budgets and deadlines, with potential accountability for managing financial performance.
- Develop and implement longer-term strategic plans that benefit the business.
- Recruit, appraise, and develop staff within your discipline, ensuring high morale and motivation.
- You should be a chartered engineer with experience delivering concept and detailed designs across the water sector.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in mechanical engineering or a similar field are essential.
- M4 competency status within Sydney Water's Competency Requirements is preferred, with the ability to take on a verifier role.
- You must have proven ability to uphold high standards in work, meticulously reviewing all aspects to ensure accuracy and completeness.
We offer a competitive salary of $120,000 - $180,000 AUD per annum, plus a range of benefits including hybrid working policy, paid parental leave, and professional development opportunities.
