About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Rotational Hospital Pharmacist to join our team in Sydney. As a key member of our pharmacy network, you will have the opportunity to work across multiple sites, covering various periods of planned pharmacist leave while gaining new skills and knowledge across our range of specialties.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Medication Management: Conduct medication chart reviews and medication reconciliation to ensure accurate and safe medication administration.
- Dispensing and Supplying: Dispense and supply medication and medication profiles, maintaining high standards of quality and service.
- Patient Care: Coordinate patient medication requirements for inpatient stays, day infusions, and discharge, ensuring seamless transitions and excellent patient outcomes.
- Communication and Teamwork: Develop and maintain professional relationships with key stakeholders, providing excellent customer service to clients and patients.
- Education and Training: Educate and advise staff and customers on health promotion, disease prevention, drug selection, and proper use of medicines.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Registration: Be a current AHPRA registered pharmacist or a Pharmacy intern awaiting general registration from AHPRA.
- Experience: Possess dispensing experience in an Australian-based hospital or community pharmacy.
- Travel and Logistics: Hold a current driver's license and have access to a roadworthy NSW-registered vehicle, as travel to various sites within our NSW pharmacy network is required.
- Knowledge and Skills: Demonstrate strong knowledge of the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS) and value attention to detail and ability to work autonomously.
Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum
