Slade Pharmacy is seeking a dedicated clinical pharmacist to join their team in Port Augusta. As a key member of the pharmacy team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional clinical pharmacy services to patients and healthcare professionals in remote areas of Australia.
About the Role
This is a permanent full-time opportunity to work as part of a multidisciplinary team at Port Augusta Hospital, providing education and medication supply to both the hospital and outreach sites. Your primary focus will be on delivering high-quality clinical pharmacy services, working collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
You will have the opportunity to travel to remote healthcare facilities, using your skills and expertise to make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes. This role requires a keen interest in quality use of medicines and the ability to adapt to unique challenges presented by remote patient care.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with key stakeholders to ensure excellent customer service
- Provide comprehensive clinical pharmacy support to patients, carers, and healthcare staff
- Educate and advise staff and customers on health promotion, disease prevention, and proper medication use
- Perform as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Prepare Best Possible Medication History lists for hospital inpatients
- Contribute to medication safety and quality improvement initiatives
- Work collaboratively with medical and nursing staff
- Dispense and supply medication and pharmacy products
- Coordinate patient medication requirements
Requirements
- A current AHPRA registered pharmacist
- Previous dispensing/clinical experience in an Australian-based hospital or community pharmacy
- Strong time management, communication, and teamwork skills
- Flexibility and adaptability when working with a diverse team
- Able to commit to learning and professional development
- Attention to detail and able to work autonomously or as part of a team

Salary and Benefits
The estimated annual salary for this role is $120,000 - $160,000 AUD, depending on experience. You will also receive a competitive benefits package, including opportunities for professional development and growth within the company.
