
Clinical Data Analyst

Clinical coders play a critical role in transforming clinical information into data that can be used for funding, quality improvement and research initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Extract relevant clinical and demographic data from clinical documentation to inform accurate coding decisions
- Utilize ICD-10-AM classification system and Solventum Codefinder to assign codes with precision and accuracy
- Maintain high standards of coding accuracy and output within stipulated timeframes
- Participate in regular audits and quality improvement activities to ensure continuous improvement
- Stay up-to-date with evolving coding standards, policies and education requirements
- Previous experience in clinical coding or strong aptitude to be trained as an entry-level coder with potential for growth and development
- Strong understanding of anatomy, disease processes and medical terminology essential for accurate coding
- Knowledge of DRGs, Casemix and episode funding applications necessary for effective data analysis
- High attention to detail, excellent time management and ability to meet productivity targets crucial for success
- Commitment to ethical coding practices and quality documentation principles essential for maintaining high standards
