About the Role

Intralox is a leading provider of innovative conveyor solutions, and we are currently seeking a skilled Conveyor Systems Specialist to join our team in Melbourne, Australia.

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a technical professional to provide first-line, remote technical support to customers and internal departments. As a member of our Technical Support Group (TSG), you will work on a broad range of industries, providing technical support and finding solutions to challenging problems.

You will also have the opportunity to focus on special belt solutions for unique customer needs and provide advice on product recommendations that meet customer requirements best.

Responsibilities
  • Provide industry-specific product recommendations to customers
  • Evaluate conveyor systems and identify areas for improvement
  • Remote troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues
  • Create and present technical presentations via webcast or other remote technology
  • Analyze conveyor design and make recommendations for optimization
  • Develop and deliver technical training programs for employees
  • Research and locate technical data to support customer queries
  • Prepare Bills of Materials for projects
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Native or near-native English language skills; additional language skills in Southeast Asia are advantageous
  • A college or university degree in a technical field, with Mechanical Engineering preferred
  • At least 2 years' experience in an industrial sales/support or industrial equipment specification role
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to articulate complex mechanical concepts
  • Excellent logical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office Applications and 2D/3D CAD software
  • Ability to manage multiple projects/issues simultaneously
  • Service-minded, team-player mentality with a sense of ownership

Intralox offers a competitive salary of $90,000 - $110,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, plus a range of benefits including:
