Job Description

A Human Resources Advisor is required to join our national HR team, providing HR support to staff and partners in our Melbourne office. The successful candidate will assist the team in coordinating clerkship and graduate recruitment programs, supporting seasonal clerkship recruitment, and assisting with daily HR functions.

About You

We are looking for a likeminded individual who possesses sound HR skills, can build strong relationships with partners and staff, and add value to existing HR processes and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Actively coordinate the clerkship and graduate recruitment programs
  • Support the team with seasonal clerkship recruitment, partnering closely with universities to organise clerkship events
  • Assist the team in daily HR functions including (but not limited to) resourcing, administration, performance management, induction, pay, workplace behaviour, event coordination, leave management, and learning and development activities
  • Be one of the first points of contact for staff, supervisors and partners on general employment related matters
  • Contribute towards health, safety and wellbeing initiatives in line with firm policies and current legislation
  • Help establish and actively participate in industry networks to profile the K&L Gates brand and attract potential talent to the firm
Required Skills and Qualifications

The successful applicant will be proactive in their approach and possess strong problem-solving skills, along with a passion for continuous improvement and innovation. A high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office is also expected, as are excellent project management, organisation and communication skills.

Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
