Senior Land Advisor Job Opportunity

Genesis Minerals is seeking a skilled Senior Land Advisor to join their dynamic team.

  • Deliver expert land and tenure advice across the organization.
  • Manage and maintain the Land & Tenement database, ensuring compliance with legislation and statutory obligations.
  • Oversee rent, rates, and Departmental fee payments to ensure timely lodgement.
  • Prepare and lodge various statutory forms and reports for government agencies, including coordinating accompanying documentation.
  • Manage Land Officer preparation and lodgement of statutory forms, reports, and submissions.
  • Address ad-hoc tenement compliance matters efficiently.
  • Manage wardens court proceedings and access agreement negotiations effectively.
  • Provide support and advice to manage land and tenement risks through stakeholder engagement and approval of Surface Disturbance Permits (SDPs).
  • Interpret and apply mine legislation related to land and tenement management.
  • Coordinate stakeholders to fulfill compliance obligations, including geological material.
  • Liaise with tenement consultants as required.
  • Track expenditure across tenements and combined reporting groups.
  • Manage extension of term procedures to retain key tenements.
  • Process new applications for land and tenements, including pegging requirements.
  • Handle Prospector enquiries and access to Company Projects.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Tertiary level qualification in Geosciences, Law, Planning, Environment Commerce or equivalent desirable.
  • Strong demonstrated experience in land management, legal support, or a related field within the mining, resources, or infrastructure sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian mining legislation, regulations, legal compliance requirements, and risk management principles.
  • Knowledge of the Land Administration Act.
  • Demonstrated ability to support multiple projects and flexibility to change priorities and focus to align with organizational objectives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and effectively.
  • Proficient in GIS.
