Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join Business NSW as a Senior Manager Partnerships. In this role, you will drive business growth and revenue through the development and execution of partnership strategies.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Sponsorship and Revenue Target Achievement: Contribute to meeting and exceeding sponsorship targets for Business NSW event program by delivering target margin on all relevant Business NSW events including conferences, webinars, workshops, and our State Business Awards.
  • Partnership Revenue Growth: Contribute to meeting and exceeding partnership revenue target by achieving commission and profit-share goals for Business NSW member offers.
  • Relationship Building: Identify, research, and cultivate relationships with potential sponsors and partners.
  • Opportunity Assessment: Work with General Manager and other internal stakeholders to provide an initial opportunity assessment and conduct a risk analysis of a potential partner.
  • Relationship Nurturing: Build and nurture deep, long-term relationships with sponsors, partners, and advertisers, fostering open communication, trust, and mutual success.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will require a proven track record and experience in partnerships, sponsorships and business development. Key requirements include:

  • Proven Experience: A strong background in partnerships, sponsorships and business development.
  • Stakeholder Management: Strong stakeholder management experience – internal and external stakeholders.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills with an ability to confidently liaise at executive levels.
  • Planning and Organisation: Exceptional planning, organisational and time management skills.
  • Negotiation and Influencing: Strong negotiation, interpersonal, relationship building, and influencing skills, with high EQ (Emotional Intelligence).
  • Knowledge and Passion:
  • Knowledge of small to medium business marketplace.
  • Demonstrate service-oriented approach, enthusiastic, motivated, positive attitude, good initiative, and a self-starter.
  • Demonstrate business acumen.
  • Results driven and oriented with proven track record.
  • An interest in public policy and advocacy with a keen passion to help business owners grow and succeed.
