About the Role

The Anglicare Victoria team is seeking an experienced Outreach Practitioner to join our After Hours program. As a key member of our team, you will provide critical support to our residential units, foster carers, and young people in need.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to complex after-hours matters, providing expert advice and support to colleagues, carers, and young people.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to achieve program goals and objectives.
  • Provide hands-on support to colleagues, carers, and young people in times of crisis, including transportation, police, or medical matters.
  • Support staff and carers in making complex decisions and problem-solving.

About You

  • Experience working with young people of all ages, particularly those with mental health issues or substance abuse.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Calming and resilient in high-pressure situations.
